“You can’t afford not to get your makeover here. If you want to make an impression, you have to have the best and this is it. I told you I’d spring for the makeover. Stop fussing and get in the damned door.”

Lizzie let herself be pushed into a world of bright lights and seductive smells. Black-clad staff literally ran back and forward tending to the needs of their high-end clients.

“You won’t regret it. Not a bit.”

The tall rail-thin man walked over and stood in front of her with his hands on his hips. He peered over his glasses and frowned, his eyes darting over her body. “We have so much work to do, darling, but have no fear, Allan is here.” He tittered at his own joke before walking around her.

Lizzie stood still, heat racing up her cheeks, conscious of the looks coming her way from the staff.

Allan grabbed her chin in his hand and twisted her face from side-to-side. “First things first, hairdresser and spa. Lots of waxing to do from what I can see. Do you wax down below, darling?”
